Our approach

For us at Northland it is a great opportunity and a challenge to develop our mining operation in the Torne River Valley.

We start out from a community building perspective. We want to involve local and regional businesses in the project and do our work together with the people from the region that hosts the mine. This means that we are – and have been from the start – both willing and eager to utilize the experience and expertise on mining that is already present; knowledge that has existed for a hundred years.

Collaboration with our partners has always been based on mutual respect and trust, and this has pushed the project steadily forward. We make a point to have an ongoing and positive dialogue with the people who are – in one way or another – affected by our operation.

The mining project has been very positively received by the local residents. I feel confident about the future.
